Opinions differ as to where our story begins. Some (Joey) would say we first met at a Sigma Nu party during our freshman year at Vanderbilt, while others (Mallory) would say we first met on our Fall Break sophomore year down in Gulf Shores, Alabama. We both agree, though, that our love story began during a fraternity weekend getaway to Gatlinburg, Tennessee in 2015, right around the time the winding road up the mountain activated Mallory’s car sickness and brought us ever so closely together.

Our time together in college was highlighted by date parties, tailgates, and Nashville honky tonks. The one constant, though, was that we did it all together. Mallory’s friends became Joey’s friends, Joey’s became Mallory’s, and we enjoyed exploring Nashville and spending time with each other for the better part of four years.

After graduation we both moved up to Boston, which is where our love story has truly blossomed. Between weekend trips around the Northeast, visits to family in Long Island, Chicago, and Florida, and even a quick trip to Quebec during a polar vortex, we have loved going on trips and adventures together. When we’re not traveling together, we’re often found picnicking at our favorite spot on the Charles River Esplanade, out and about in Boston with friends, or cozying up on the couch watching the newest Bravo reality TV series. We also love to cook together, which started off as a special date night occasion and has become our weekly routine, resulting in Joey having a considerably healthier diet. Most of all, we just love doing life together.

After 2 years of living together, we decided we wanted to do this for the rest of our lives. So, on an early spring day in 2024, Joey took Mallory on a picnic at our favorite spot on the Charles, delivered a teary-eyed speech, and proposed.

We can’t wait to celebrate our wedding with you all this September and are so grateful to have so many special people in our life coming together to join us for our big day!
